Female Mariachi
Get a taste of Mexico here in London this October.
The Temperate (not temperature as many foreigners referred to it today), House is hosting a daytime and evening Mexican themed month.
The event and one entire hall reminds us of all who we lost during the pandemic, starting with The Queen who as you can imagine doesn’t even need a name tag or a job title here.
Singers, politicians, entrepreneurs, inventors, writers and scientists from various countries have been mentioned here and had their black and white photograph included.
Lourdes Grobet and William Klein (photographers), Andre Leon Talley (journalist and Vogue editor), Marta Palau (visual artist), Raymond Briggs (author and illustrator), Ricky Gardiner (guitarist), Anne Heche (actress), Ruy Perez Tamayo (investigator), Wolfgang Petersen (film director), Shirley Hughes (English author and illustrator), Meat Loaf (singer), Mijail Gorbachov (former president of the Soviet Union), Monty Norman (composer), Boris Pahov, Javier Marias and Eduardo Lizalde (writers), Gaspard Ulliel, Ray Liotta and William Hurt (actors) just to name a few.
Unfortunately all of us lost loved ones too, so you can write their name on a piece of paper, grab one of the miniature pegs and add it to the yellow flower garlands that are all around you.
I suggest you do that as it does make you feel a bit better after all.
Then it is nearly time for the live entertainment on stage so I recommend you head to the main hall and get one of the front seats.
This year Mariachi Las Adelitas UK are here to sing and play music for us including both classic songs and such of their own.

There are a lot of Mariachi bands here in Texas (US). Especially at the Cinco de Mayo festivals. I do enjoy the music on occasion...great photos @petface :)

It is certainly a very beautiful event that no one should miss. Mexicans are very special honoring their loved ones who are no longer on this earthly plane. I would like to see an event like this.
