Once in a while there is something worth watching.

Mostly though, it is all kinda sucky. Even the really good ones are only the best of the worst. If I am being honest though, it is me. It is completely my fault for not being able to find things I would like to watch, and fair enough something I skipped over now might be something I will be watching later.

As such I know I will be giving Peaky Blinders another look again way down the line, I am not sure whether Copper is still on but I could actually finish that. I might just finish with Penny Dreadful.

In the case of Penny Dreadful I kind of forgot it is still going. I think I watched until season 2 episode, not the last one. I do that with quite a few series. I really liked The Good Doctor and stopped mid season 2. That reminds me is Lethal Weapon still going? I really liked that.

I do not think it is worth being too concerned with finishing series though like I will never ever be finishing Game of Thrones, currently on season 3 or 4 or maybe I skipped somewhere to 5. It all blends into the same thing, like Days of our Lives.

Filtering Hype

In the screenshot you can see there are very familiar names, all the biggies are still going with a few outliers slipping in. Since this is by recency of upload the ones shown are just the most recently active ones.

Off the bat, the ones I will not be watching is 13 Reasons why, since that stupid tear across his mouth indicates some pitiful attempt at drama. I will never watch Queen of the South, well because I do not fuck with Kardashian trash. Money Heists cover just looks absurd and if Queen Sugar had comedy next to drama in their genre I might be giving that a look.

I do not even know what the name of the one with all the American flags is but that looks like a documentary and also will not be watched. Oddly I did not even give Sex Life a thought. Maybe because the title itself screams I want to be in your face and tell my story from some unknown but very known view. No one gives a fuck.

The ones I did watch and do watch at times is Elementary, Blackish, Mindhunter I do want to watch as soon as I one day finish season one. I watched the Boys until episode 5 or 6, it will be probably a few months before I care to finish it, same with Doom Patrol.

Special mentions just on that first page would be Game of Thrones and Stranger Things. If they could please step to the back and kill themselves. My bad, GOT is finished so Handmaids Tale could you please join them, also who let those Marvel ones in?

Carnival Row though, it has fairies and monsters and all sorts of mythical things.

How do you fuck that up?

Oh by making the trailer showcase it as a social commentary dressed up in a tutu with wings. I could even have gotten over the description mentioning some stupid love affair trash just to see the world they created.

The Search Continues

So my search continues all the way to page 9. The criteria is simple, I should like the cover or title. Obviously those will be the things that make me read the description. I should not from the description feel like someone just puked someone else's regurgitated baby in my mouth.I passed quite a few shows I could have settled with since I know them. So I want it to not be too generic.

Year of the Rabbit

It is funny and crude. It is set in Victorian times and takes the piss out of them. Oddly a lot of that could also be considered taking the piss out of modern times. The whole woman, race and equality bullshit everyone is always on about. All in all, it is just a good dry humour show.

Who knows maybe I am just sick of grandstanding wannabe shows with actually no substance and 40 minutes is fucking long to watch some mopy needy twats have feelings and shit.

So take a break and watch Year of the Rabbit.
