World News Day + Día Mundial de las Noticias [Eng+Spa]
Estoy casi cerrando el día jueves, y al ponerme a redactar el registro del día, reviso las efemérides de la #Historia para elegir alguna para comentar, pues en realidad hay muy pocas #noticias interesantes que dar de mi #vida hoy. Por cierto, es justamente la elección de la idea de noticias lo que tengo para hoy, pues es (desde el 2018) el ‘Día Mundial de las Noticias’.
Noticia es, en líneas generales, un contenido de información que compartimos debido a que tiene datos interesantes, raros, peculiares o de alguna relevancia (social o individual). Así que es una cosa muy importante en toda nuestra vida social (y personal) tener una fuente de noticias confiables y claras, que nos permitan estar lo mejor informados que podamos y eso nos facilite el desarrollo de juicios propios para determinar nuestras acciones, es algo que nunca debemos subestimar. A fin de cuentas, quienes controla las noticias, pueden guiar el pensamiento y llevar a que la ‘realidad’ se convierta en cualquier cosa que se quiera.

I am almost closing the day on Thursday, and as I begin to write the day's record, I review the anniversaries of #History to choose one to comment on, since in reality there is very little interesting #news to share about my #life today. No Tener Noticas es una Buena Noticia

Eso de arriba suena como mucha teoría de la conspiración… es algo cierto, pero mejor deja que retome el enfoque del post. Aunque leí que esta celebración cuenta con el apoyo de más de 500 organizaciones de distinta índole (pero todas vinculadas con las noticias, ya sea por medios de comunicación, empresas privadas, asociaciones gremiales, etc.), no he podido saber que llevó a que la Asociación Mundial de Editores de Noticias y la Fundación Canadiense de Periodismo, apoyaran la propuesta del Foro Mundial de Editores para celebrar esta festividad el 28 de septiembre.
Sospecho que tiene que ver con que era la fecha en que estaban celebrando, en ese año, un evento en donde se reunieron para discutir sobre sus campos laborales, y el impacto que tienen los medios noticiosos en el mundo. Pero, no puedo asegurarlo.

That above sounds like a lot of conspiracy theory... it's somewhat true, but let me return to the focus of the post. Although I read that this celebration has the support of more than 500 organizations of different kinds (but all linked to the news, whether through the media, private companies, trade associations, etc.), I have not been able to find out what led to it. The World Association of News Editors and the Canadian Journalism Foundation will support the proposal of the World Editors Forum to celebrate this holiday on September 28.

En todo caso, desde mi punto de vista, suelo pensar que no tener ‘noticias’ puede ser una buena noticia, pues a pesar de que no es obligatorio que las noticias nos informen únicamente de cosas malas que suceden en el mundo, si es cierto que la mayor parte del tiempo veo que los noticieros tienen a eso. No los voy a criticar, después de todo, suelo pensar que una empresa vende lo que el consumidor está dispuesto a consumir, y si una empresa noticiosa ya tiene un mercado que devora su producto, dudo que cambie su enfoque, a menos que cambie la realidad.
Además, hay gente que no soportaría la monotonía y se volvería loca, así que supongo que mi deseo de no tener ‘noticias’ que compartir sobre mi vida, es algo que se puede entender como un producto peculiar de mi personalidad. Aun así, me despido deseando que cualquier noticia que recibas en estos días sea buena, que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad.

In any case, from my point of view, I usually think that not having 'news' can be good news, because although it is not obligatory for the news to inform us only of bad things that happen in the world, if it is true that most of the time I see that the news shows that.
