I was asked to write a post on Friday. I now got the go-ahead to post it so here we go…

It is now 04:04 in the morning in South Africa.
For the last hour I’ve been twisting and turning and in the end I got up to write this post about a nightmare that started exactly a week ago.
As most of you know for the last month I’ve dedicated myself to helping fellow Steemians to better the quality of their posts. This is after I have seen through my curator work how difficult it was to find quality posts. Although this has proven to be extremely time consuming it is also rewarding.
One of the Steemians I’ve been helping is @ forhadmiya.
A week ago I woke up to various WhatsApp messages from him. He powerup, transferred some of his earnings, and wrote a post about it.

Later, when he wanted to sign into his account he couldn’t. He no longer had access. He immediately reached out to me and that is how the week started.
As he is from Bangladesh I reached out to the CR’s of the country for their assistance.
It turned out that his account was set up by a fellow Steemian and he never received the PDF document with all his keys. He was in trouble!
It was heart sore to watch his delegations “disappear” one by one and to receive his crying messages.
All along we knew that soon the power down will start and so it did.
My cry for help was picked up by @inspiracion and @sofian88 who guided my cry to @steemchiller and @el-nailul.

I don’t know how to thank @el-nailul for his assistance. He's been doing his utmost to help @ forhadmiya. I can call him a true Steemian friend!
It came to light that the recovery account for this account is “Steemhunt”.
And that is where we are now, in the hands of “@Steemhunt”, hoping that he will reach out to the cries of @ forhadmiya.
I’m asking you, my fellow Steemians, to support @ forhadmiya by leaving a comment on the Steemhunt post and also by showing your support for Steemhunt by upvoting the post.

It was in this week that I saw the true meaning of Steemit.

I dedicate 100% of this post to @worldsmile.
I do this in the hope that should our Steemian friend have to set up a new account the team will make sure that the earnings of the post will go to him to help him and his family.

It's rather unfortunate this is happening to @forhadmiya at this moment. I pray his problem should be resolved soonest by @Steemhunt because I can imagine what his going through at this moment.
Hearts of men are desperately wicked and it should be noted that wickedness shall never experience peace and the person behind this act shall surfer for his malpractices

It's not easy seeing a big man like him crying over the bit he has put together on the platform.
It was his life savings.

Oh my God😭😭😭😭 I can't imagine the heartbreak and shock he must be going through. All his suffering all gone. Yes I call making a quality post here in steemit suffering because it takes alot of time, brainwork, markdown skills, proofreading and the double plagiarism checks and lots more. Gosh😓😓😓

I am sure he is going to appreciate your kinds words, support, and prayers.
I'm feeling kinda unsecured after seeing this I pray that his account be recovered on time and that much shouldn't be lost from it.
It only happened because someone else set up his account for him and never gave him all his keys. He wasn't aware of the master key.
How can you help someone just to take from him? I cannot understand how people can live with themselves after they have done something like this.

It is what he needs right now, to know that there are Steemians who cares.
This is not the first time account theft has occurred, you did your best my friend, and @forhadmiya is one of the victims.
We hope a miracle will happen to @forhadmiya everything that was lost God will return soon.

It is so sad that no matter where we go corruption and theft follow us.
This is really sad. It is good we try to sign up ourselves on the platform and if we sign someone up don't cheat the person. This life is full of many things that you don't know who will help you tomorrow. Money obtained in cheating is never sweet and never lasts.

Espero que pueda recuperar sus recompensas, es lamentable que hayan personas que abusen de la confianza que se les da, para obtener fondos de otras personas. Y también es preocupante que aún hayan personas que manejan sus cuentas sin el conocimiento apropiado para usar sus billeteras y mantenerlas seguras.
Una campaña para resguardar nuestras claves, sería muy oportuna en estos momentos.

This happens in ignorance when someone else set up your account for you. They are supposed to help but in the end they only harm. So sad!

You are right, so much effort and in the end for nothing.
this is a very dangerous incident, caused by ignorance and lack of knowledge about account lock security on the steemit platform.
Fortunately, you and your friends have acted quickly to solve this problem.

What I can tell you and @forhadmiya: this happened to me when I was here on the Steem for about three months. The STEEM that were transferred directly and disappeared somewhere in the universe were and remained gone. There were not many... ;-)) And @greece-lover together with @steemchiller got me access to my account again, so I could undo the Power Down and no further damage was done...

It is so sad. Oh well, I suppose where there is money involve you will always get sneaky buggars.
The problem is that the person who assisted him to set up the account did it under steemhunt.com and not Steemit. The Steemit team can this not assist him. 😞 2,500 STEEM gone!
We advised him this morning to start a new account.
