A Jackal Buzzard hunting for Easter!
Ah! I caught him as he landed on his "prey"!
"Prey" in exclamation marks because he missed!
As we entered the farm gate there was a wide open grass field on the right hand side and it is obviously a favorite hunting territory for predators. Later we saw a squirrel scattering through a bushy area, but this grass land is more exposed and the home to moles and mice. The odd snake will also slide through here and I am waiting for the day that I can catch a buzzard, or an eagle with a snake in its claws.
Let's have a look at this guy!

So he checks if I am laughing because he missed Lol
He sat for a while to see if his prey would re-emerge from its hole!
Now he thinks it's my fault that he missed, as I must have warned his prey!
And so he turned side ways and took off in a huff as a truck passed on the road between us!
Of course he looks beautiful in flight!
And he also has a huge hunting ground as he passes the mountain here!
I am a strange creature indeed, as I dislike these birds intensely when they catch the little guinea fowl babies and the squirrels, but I admire them when they catch rodents and snakes. I love the way that they can strike so fast and so unexpectedly and I admire their super, zoomed eye sight. The way they surf on the high air streams and their super agility in the air. How they expose their claws during mating season when they twirl in the air around a female is simply fabulous to see. Their squawks are awesome and the call of the Fish Eagle is world renowned.
Bringing this back to a human point, we all have something in us that others like and dislike. At one moment we are a hero and the next moment we are a fool. Should we ever display the traits that others hate in themselves, they will attack us with discerning words that hurt, but should we display anything that they love then we receive praise. I think the modern way to describe this is a "love, hate" relationship. Just as I have with the predator birds.
Does this ring a bell for somebody?
May everyone have a blessed Easter and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity

Swirling around looking for food they are elegant, nice captures on the ground getting the evil-eye for just being in the area.
Humans are fickle with love/hate relationships, animals either score a meal or don't, what it is really does not matter.
Congrats on your @curie today Stephen, well deserved.
Thank you for the wise words as usual Lady Joan and I think that you know that I love your comments! And of course your Proverbs!
As I said, the Curie thing was a huge surprise.
I know the feelings when a guy with one picture and only two sentences gets 100 times more than I do with a post that took me a long time to create.
But this post is evidence that things can be rewarded through persistence.
Btw! I am a bit sad that @curie didn't see the; https://steemit.com/photography/@papilloncharity/art-enterprise-innovation-african-style post, as I consider it better quality than this post. But I always say Selah, what will be will be and I am of course grateful, as always!
Have a blessed Easter holiday!
The time spent on each post, giving value in helping others, it is sad the post was missed, I shared to Facebook for local interest.
Most passed comment about how labour intensive beading is, I really hope the men doing the work are fairly paid for their efforts.

Oh my goodness! I almost fell off my chair when I saw this!
As you can see on our site, there are a few posts during this week that are even higher quality than this one, but we refuse to use bots and we struggle along!
This great deed by you is my best Easter gift.
A sincere and kind thank you @curie
Blessings to all of you and your families during this Easter period!

We have a long weekend as it is Easter, but the clouds are rolling in now and rain will soon be here.
So, there's no going out and that's why I am on my PC at this unusual time!

Yes, yes, I have such feelings for these birds! Admiration for beauty and dexterity, and dislike when they have a pretty animal in their claws.
Great post!
Thank you Lady Elena and we feel the same about these birds.
