Ready or Not Here I Come! - Playing Hide and Go Seek on Steemit
The rate at which Steemit is growing is astounding. It is hard to believe the platform is less than 3 months old. Reading the stories of how people's lives have been changed is heart warming.
However, growth has its problems. One of which is finding content. With the sheer volume of content being created daily, personally I'm finding it more difficult to find good content. These days I feel like I'm playing Hide and Go Seek for content.

Earlier today, as I was curating some content, I read a post by @thecleangame where he created a summary/category page for his posts. I loved the categorization of his articles. As I read his post, it occurred to me that having a list of previously written posts is extremely valuable to the author and community. Let me illustrate the point.
Summary Pages Fosters Content Discovery
Say that I’m reading @cryptoctopus’s article about buying a car. At the bottom of his article, I see a link to his summary/category page. Upon clicking I'm taken to page that lists his content by category. It is very clean and easy to read. While reading, I discover some of his other works that I was unfamiliar with. I believe these pages will provide more exposure to the authors and community alike.
I encourage everyone to create a summary/category page and link it to each posts. If your favorite Steemit author doesn't have one. Write an article and encourage them to create one.
Even The Whales Could Benefit
Having said that, I hope @cryptogee, @stellabelle, @cryptoctopus, and @jl777 will create such a page. After viewing their latest posts, I don't see a summary/category page.
In the future, when summary/category pages are included to all posts, I might get better at playing Hide and Go Seek (for content).
Happy Steeming!

I agree. Read something similar in a previous post (more towards referencing previous articles within the post) and it seems a great way to go. Doesn't need to be upvoted by a lot to make it visible. Just don't let it fade into obscurity because you lost faith in it with the lack of upvotes received! Thanks for the insightful piece
Thanks. If we all do this it will help with retention among the readership.
Sadly there are many posts like this that are still getting buried among all the adventurers, models and tutorials. "Not that there's anything wrong with that!"
i really like your idea @pairmike i will encourage all my friends to do it :)
I believe it will help a great deal.
Great suggestions, Steem is still in its infancy and there are plenty of possibilities. I was just saying in a previous post how companies could invest in Steem power to influence different markets, reviews, hire curators and "steemstars", the sky is really the limit. I think we can all agree how boring twitter, facebook and reddit start to look now...
Steemit is a big playground for all of us to experiment in.
