Newfoundland Scott # 30 postage stamp

Used (lightly cancelled), slightly off-center, with 6mm TEAR at bottom-left. Some tiny white spots noted above the main topsail onto the U of "NEWFOUNDLAND

This is a really cool stamp design with an odd color of orange. I love the design... absolutely charming.

Front:

Note the orange ink in-between the center-bottom perforations. That is the tip of another stamp's design due to the mis-registration of the perforation machine used. This matches of course the intrusion of perfs along the stamp's top edge.

Back:

As I alter the angle of the light, you can see the tear in the paper through the H of "THIRTEEN"

The orange ink actually looks very different under side lighting versus the scans shown at the top of this post.

Scarcely noticeable hinge remnant.
