Movie reccomendation - The Mist (2007)

The Mist is a horror movie adaptation of another book by stephan king.
This movie is so well put togheter that I can see it again and again as long as enough time has passed.
Stephan king is good at building worlds inside worlds and the way the world and its new set of rules is being built inside the supermarket is amazing. There is this mystreious mist that spreads outside of the supermarket which keeps poeple inside because each time someone is trying to go out they end up being chopped to pieces. So the people is trying to get along at first and figure things out but different opinions are formed and like in the "big brother" reality show , camps are starting to form too - the normative straight thinking camp which is led by this movie male protagonist and a religous camp led by a purposely steriotipic religous cathlic woman. This chaos,much like in the big brother leads alot of the characters to get "dismissed" or more accurately, getting shot or cut to piecses :) and leaves with a really shoking ending. Highly reccomended!

The fog was very harshly criticized at the time for two reasons. the first was, precisely, how some survivors react to the promises of a vengeful God. Who would let themselves be carried away by something so childish today? In my opinion, the progression in the credulity of the people, although precipitated according to what cases, makes sense. At first, everyone puts on a poker face when the lady shouts her biblical mantras, but when death and impossible images begin to arrive, she may seem like the only hold they have on hand. In other words, it is very easy to call the characters panphiles, but you should be in such an extreme situation to see how a mob would behave, with a contagious panic in between.
