SEC17 WK:#3: large and small families, likes and dislikes
Welcome to another week of participating in the enegement challenge, last week's topic was amazing and here comes another interesting one I want take part in. We all came from different families, for the fact we have families I can tell that we have dislikes and likes based on our experiences.
Before furthering more, let's understand what family is all about.
To my knowledge family comprises of people related by blood, marriage or even adoption. We have nuclear family and extended family.
Diving into the topic of decision I'm narrating the story of my grandpa.
My grandpa married two wives because of children, the first wife gave birth to only 3 , my grandpa as the clan head needed more children so he got married to his second wife, God blessed the second wife with eight children. When the second wife's children started growing problem started. My grandpa died without sharing his properties to the children and now there's log ahead among the children. This scenario changes my likeness for large families.
I'm married now, as God may have it I'm blessed with three children and I'm okay with them. Considering the present economy and development I think my decision of having small family is the best . Below are my reasons.
Protection. Children can be carefree as such the can do things without considering the side effects, having small family will enable me to care and protect my children very well and also have time to take care of myself.
Good life. Children who are opportune to be in a small family have the chances of getting more quality life than those from a large families.
Togetherness. Since the family is not large they will like to do things to be happy. Hence they will always want to be together.
Dislikes.
Large families have tendency of being jealous for one another's progress.
They don't have all the opportunity to enjoy quality life like traveling around the world , using good devices and even attending good schools.
I dislike large families because children born in such families are exposed to street life at a very tender age to cater for themselves since there's no enough finance to take care of them.
Things that formed my decision.
If You have have being following this post from the beginning you will get some tips from my grandpa's story.
I don't like crowd, I don't like problematic people which is common in larger families.
I would like to have good control over my children by making them more of my friend.
I admire those families with small family size , they way the bond and do things together made me formed my decisions.
Finally, the way things are going now every child needs to be, cared ,loved and empowered, the recent society we found ourselves these days is not helping matter, things are increasing as days goes by , having a smaller family will stop child/children forceful work, known as slavery.
My like is a small family size. I want to call on @eliany @josepha @waterjoe @patjewell

Today, inflation is at its peak and in such a situation, it is very difficult to take care of a big family. You are right. In a big family, one does not get time for oneself. Even the children are not able to work according to their wishes. Therefore, today most people have started liking a small family. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.

Yes, friend, the family is made up of blood, marriage and adoption, it is a bond that means union between family, a very large family that his grandfather formed between his two wives that when his grandfather died everything changed and led some to have more advantages than others. . .
Nowadays, married with three children, she is happy to form a family unit of only 5 people because she thinks about many factors, including the economy and providing them with a good education, protection, attention, among other reasons why she prefers a small family.

Children get a quality life from a small family that they don't get as much from a big family. You are right that big families do have some problems with raising children. But many times it is seen that children in small families enjoy being with everyone in big families rather than being alone.

Hi @okere- blessing, thank you for sharing such an amazing post, you have highlighted what a family is, that it is comprising of people that we are related either by blood, marriage and adoption and you have also mentioned that we have two types of family, that is extended and nuclear family and I agree with you totally and you have used your family experiences,on how your grandpa got married to two wives which has made the family to be at logger heads, and you've learnt your lesson. That's why you dislike a large family. And you have given your reasons to be that, children who are born into larger family has the the tendency to be exposed to the street life. Success to you.
