Influence of #club5050, #club75 and #club100 on the outflow of money from Steemit

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago

Hello! Today I could write a post about the first snow in my city, which immediately turned out to be snowfall. Because the weather in Ukraine now is as follows:

But reading the articles of other authors (I now read a lot), I noticed that there are already many such posts, and they are written much better than I could write. So I decided to choose another, more boring topic.

10 days ago, when @the-gorilla was preparing this post, he asked me to prepare statistics to find out whether #club5050, #club75 and #club100 influenced the outflow of money from Steemit. I couldn't help him then. But I processed the data available to me to somehow solve this problem. I think even the steemcurator himself will be interested in whether his initiative works.

Methods of collecting statistics

To begin with, I reviewed the activity of the largest users of bots. They are the ones who withdraw the most money. So I identified a few dozen accounts where the money goes. Then I determined how the money moves from these accounts and determined that some accounts collect small transactions and then send large transactions to the accounts of exchanges. Having identified the final acceptors, I settled on the following accounts:

  • bittrex
  • bitvavo
  • poloniex
  • upbitsteem
  • binance-hot
  • hot.dunamu
  • gateiodeposit
  • bithumbrecv1
  • huobi-pro

Of course, not all exchanges and not all accounts involved in withdrawing money are listed here. But I think it can be a representative sample. We will not be able to calculate the absolute values, ie how much money is withdrawn from Steemit per month, but we will be able to see the trend.

The Results of My Little Research

So, summing up all the transactions on these accounts on a monthly basis during 2021, which can be considered the total withdrawal of money from Steemit, I got the following picture.

Withdrawal of STEEM:

Withdrawal of SBD:

Conclusions

As we can see, the withdrawal from Steemit was really the lowest during the fall. But can this be unambiguously linked to #club5050, #club75 and #club100? Maybe, but I wouldn't be in such a hurry.

Do you see that the outflow of STEEM increased slightly in November? Why? Because in November its price increased. It is their price that is most correlated with their outflow.

We need more time to unambiguously answer the question of the impact of #club5050, #club75 and #club100 on the price of STEEM and SBD. And we may not be able to get it, because the people who do not use #club5050, #club75 and #club100 take part in withdrawing money the most.

One thing I can say for sure. I once received an upvote from #club5050 and it definitely had a positive effect on my SP 😊.

I think club5050 was officially launched around the 15th October although I'm not certain of this.

One thing which will take a huge amount of effort to work out is to see if the people who receive the club5050 upvotes have changed their behaviour - i.e. did they previously withdraw their Steem and then stop because of this initiative.

I'll think about how to do it.

Hi @o1eh thank you for producing such interesting Statistic. It is rightly said statistic doe not lie.

You have been included into my post with users who are Powering Up:

Thanks, @ stef1. I appreciate your support. This is the second time you have included me in such a list. Unfortunately, I sometimes research things that are obvious to more experienced users. One of my stupid studies was using bots. I wanted to show that you often have to pay more for a bot's voice than you get from it. I wanted to collect statistics on actual transactions and votes received. As it turned out, everyone knows this very well.

I tried a boomerang and another bot (forgot its name). I also wanted to try bidvote, but he kindly returned all my transactions. I sent him 5 STEEM many times, but he returned everything to me.

Eventually I realized that no one would be interested in my research. I stopped it. It lasted from October 29 to November 5. If you sum up all the transactions I made to bots, it turns out that I spent more than I earned since registering on STEEMIT. In fact, everything went back.

steemcurator noticed my activity on bots and said that I can't be in club #100. So it's probably best to remove me from your list again.

But from next week there will be a month as I do not use bots and will be eligible to participate in club #5050, although I do 100% Power Up. Despite the lack of support from steemcurator (except for my submission to the Dolphin Club yesterday), I now have incredible support from xpilar, from you, from the-gorilla and others, for which I thank you all very much.

Saludos 😊

Thank you for your words of support. SC supported my article, despite my experiments with bots. I don't want to have anything to do with bots anymore. If they continue to gain strength, it will destroy the economy of Steemit. I will try to create quality content. I see that if I follow this path, people support my efforts. And I see that you also create great posts. Therefore, we follow the same path 😊.

jajajaja es una grandiosa noticia!!! 👏👏👏 nada pasa desapercibido. Me alegra amigo 😄

Making a plan is a great idea. I did the same. I had a plan of topics for which I planned to write posts for the next three weeks. But now I have written almost everything I wanted. That's why I need a new plan 😊.

Debes estar muy satisfecho, cuando uno logra lo que se propone se siente muy bien 😄 Felicidades!!! 👏👏
Aún no he hecho mi lista 😅 las ideas vagan en mi mente, ahora mismo lo hago.
