Crouching Water, Hidden Outlet
So yesterday was...not great.
Woke up to a power outtage..[nooooooooooo]
Then had another window spring a leak..
Cos as it turns out whomever owned this place before us who advertised the "new windows" to the realtor...put those windows in like a fucking idiot! So they've shifted out of position and now at least 3 are leaking..and one of the three is so bad that it rotted out part of the wall. WOO HOO!
BONUS ROUND: also found a random fucked up outlet BEHIND THE WALL right over where the worst leak is. That sparked and almost killed us all! Horray for hidden outlets that are all messed up and waiting to ignite!!!
....
Anyways hopefully today is better. We have a carpenter pal who is going to help us out and hopefully do it for not too much $ [oh god please]
I am also planning to do lots of my cammodel grind today [live cam, taking pvts doing custom videos etc]
and sincerely hope I am up for a PEPPER REACTS on @dlive tonight. I will definitely try!

But I gots to make up for MopeMonday monetarily today..especially with that whole wall needing fixing...ugh...life!!

How did the window situation turn out for you? I hope that outlet was removed or fixed as well. I was thinking about doing the windows on our house but I decided not to. I knew I could never do as good of a job because I don't have a break to bend the aluminum to put on the outside of the window. Plus when I was going to attempt the sun porch I was afraid I was going to buy a bunch of custom windows but they would be the wrong size and I would need to get rid of them some how. So I spent 15k to have all the windows one the house replaced. I got windows with the e-coat on them. The best decision ever. The e-coat reflects the heat back into the house in the winter and keeps the heat from the sun out in the summer. It really does work.
well we ripped out all the insulation and stuff out of the wall and pulled apart the frame and have towels jammed into where it was leaking. the power for said outlet has been switched off as well so the chance for fire is highly diminished. Obviously we still have to pay to get the wall rebuilt as well as the window frame itself. wheeeeeee
Is there any mold? If so you need to get pure bleach on there as soon as possible. That will kill the mold. Ah you could use the toilet cleaner with bleach because that will stick to what you are squirting it onto. At any rate I hope your not freezing your nipples off in that room. Also are there any repercussions that can be made onto the seller of the house? I read your reply to someone else and am sorry to hear you cannot kick the last owner in the crotch for what they did.

nothing like some leaky windows, idk how the laws are in canada but over here in the states if a problem like that arises it's the legal obligation of the owner of the unit to fix/ pay for the repairs of your unit while you're renting there. I would think there would be some law protecting renters there, because if not owners would rent out a fugged up apt to people in anticipation that they'll pay to repair it after they've signed the lease, trapping you into paying for the repairs of a unit that someone else is profiting off of, id look into that tbh.
oh we aren't renting technically. this place was bought for us by rinos folks. so their realtor and inspector somehow didn't catch the massive damage and how real estate works is if you don't catch it and you buy it jokes on you even if it was booby trapped to light on fire! so it's super pleasant, we gotta pay ourselves...guess we should've paid for 2 inspectors!!ha! >>
