Promoting Steemit On My Blog Made Me Realize Something

I had been meaning to promote Steemit on the "Making Money" section of my blog since June but something or the other cropped up and i never got down to doing it. With some time over the past weekend, i finally got down to doing it in a post about sites that will pay you to write / blog.

What makes Steemit Unique

For my article, i looked at various sites that would pay you to write. They all had different models. Some revenue sharing sites would stick affiliate links on your article and you'd get a small cut of the revenue. Others required you to submit articles in return for payment if they were accepted. Sites that accepted article submissions were more generous in their payments, some as high as $350, with a few in the $100 per article range.

While the payments on these sites are quite generous, Steemit offered something none of them could match. You don't have to conform or alter your writing style to match someone else's opinion of a good article!

One of the great frustrations dealing with these other sites is having articles taken down because of minor disagreements about formatting or wording of the article. As Steemians, I'm sure we all know this but sometimes it is nice just to put down our thoughts in words.
