My Adventures - (A 6-week teaching experience)

Greetings friends

Life is a journey, what if I missed the track?, this is one question I always ask myself every day when adventures and journeys seem tiring, you may say I am depressed but no I long to achieve more that is why I get dissatisfied. People call it destiny, some call it fate, I don't know how synonymous they are, this is destiny and I no longer look at where life has placed me, I now look at where I have to place this life. I wish the best for myself and I need to start working for it, I need to get back on my feet even though I am down already, I need to push up not with muscles or physical strength but with wisdom, I must apply wisdom in everything I do, maybe I need to start reading wide because I am about to impart so much one our future leaders(children).

TEACHING PRACTICE

This long statement came as a result of where I find myself today. Howbeit, I am not where I always long to be, I am not where I used to be. This is me @nsijoro in my place of teaching practice( a programme organised for University students in the faculty of education to gain experience in teaching, in this programme you are sent out, to different locations across the state for 6 weeks to experience the practical part of the teaching theory), again this is me who has never wanted to be a teacher in the grand finale of this program, the first was in my 200L and the second which is also the last is now and I am grateful.

Before now I was sent to a secondary school at Nwaniba and the experience was awesome, I think I didn't experience much because I was sent to a place of more mature children who could control themselves and heed to instruction while considering the repercussions of not adhering which could be severe punishment or expulsion, so this time I was sent to a nursery school and for sure the experience was awesome. To be sincere the university management board are wise, sending me here has taught me so much, children always want to cling with you often and there may not believe you are going flog them, that is children for you. They will always forget that you told them not to make noise because they seem to be less mature, imagine telling a child to stop making noise and he/she just told her friend with a loud voice, GIVE ME MY PENCIL Now!!, I discovered so much, that at this age of childhood the best way to control noise in class is a teacher entering the class.

_{Future leaders}

I met with children, fearless children_ I think I need to write about this not in a diary maybe a free-write. They are so social unlike our days when we were so afraid of teachers as if they were masquerades, I love these children, their energy, and their intelligence, and truly speaking the world around me is revolving and I am ill-aware, but this experience is an awareness. This is my journey to teach at the University of Uyo, staff schools and the experience was awesome.
