Good day my fellows in the Steemit community, I trust you all had a blissful day, I will be writing elaborately on basic security on STEEM, pls do we to read intently.

Security simply means keeping our property safe or restricting our vital information or property from entering the hand of thieves who will eventually take advantage of it in a way that will negatively affect us

That's the final step to show that you have successfully registered on the platform, STEEM keys are always downloaded as PDF and stored on the device wherein it was registered on

DO YOU KNOW ANY OF THIS KEYS AND THEIR RESTRICTIONS

For sure, I know them

• MASTER KEY; This key is used to recover all other keys, this key must be stored in a very safe place it could be stored offline on external devices like flash drives, memory cards etc, it is only used during account recovery

• POSTING KEY; This key function is used to log in or an account on Steemit in other to perform tasks like posting on your account, voting, following and commenting on other people's accounts, this key can't be used in the transfer of fund within the steemit platform

• ACTIVE KEY; This key is used to perform functions related to the monetary benefits of Steem, it is used to transfer funds interchangeably among Steemit users, this key could be used in powering down Steem, powering up Steem, converting Steem dollars to Steem through powering, active keys can also be used to trade in the market, it is used to control fund entering the platform.

• OWNER KEY; This is very vital because with it a user can reset the other keys, with the owner key user has complete control over what happens in a Steemit account

• MEMO KEY; Private messages are encrypted and encrypted with the help of this key.

• PUBLIC KEY; This key is not required during the login process, it encrypts messages between user

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO RETRIEVE YOUR MASTER KEY

There is this strategy I have in mind and have implemented concerning how to retrieve my master key and keep it safe.

• The first strategy is to keep it away from people I.e never sharing it with people since it is personal
• Since I have 2 Gmail accounts, I decided to send it to the other account so as quicken retrieval if accidentally the keys got wiped out from my device.
