Hey All
It’s photo round up time once again.
So here’s a little post with photos picked from moments in my own Life that I feel is worth sharing with all you wonderful folks here.

Lets get the show on the road.

While In Wales Take photos of Dogs

While we were on holiday in Wales visiting some relatives, I met their pet Dogs. I noticed that the angle and position this fellow had been sitting at, meant the wide angle lens on my Phone allowed for his entire body to be hidden by his head, creating some pretty extreme foreshortening!!

Sometimes the shots from Google Pixel 2 really astound me in terms of output, I’m finding that it’s really a great camera that truely fits in your pocket.
Here is another example from the camera of the same dog, using the phones portrait mode.

Emotional, Or resting dog face?

I love this shot, its that emotional impact from those sad eyes and slightly tilted head that just pulls on the heart strings of the viewer.

Butteryflys at Rest

These wonderful butterfly’s sat gently near by so, I sneaked up to them with the elegance of a ballet dancing elephant and clicked away on camera.

Once again my phone cameras macro like focus distance and its wide angle lens really helped with these. I did have my Olympus on me but the Silent shutter and smaller form factor felt better for sneaking these shots without disturbing the little creatures.

The Moon, The Tree and the Olympus Camera

Finally some photos with a “REAL” Camera right? Well I pesonally like to believe, the right gear for the job is a better term.

Funnily enough, I didn’t have the right gear here.... This was taken hand held using my Olympus E-PM2 camera and a 45-200mm LUMIX Lens, standing in my garden. A tripod would have been helpful here with a remote shutter. Either way I was happy with this super moon photo.

This shot uses the same lens, but with a polarising filter to tone down the reflections on the leaves and to let the green of the leaves stand out a little more.

Last but not least A fluffy Cat

Not just any cat, it's Tink the cat

This shot was taken with my 45mm portrait lens on the Olympus again, I angled my self in a way that I could get some of the haze from the sun behind her, just adding to the atmosphere and depth in the photo.

That’s my round up for today, Thanks for viewing

Really like the dogs and the cat here ... and about the right gear ... it still is the photographer who has to see it and take the shot.

It's true the gear is always secondary right :D

Those are amazing! :D

I honestly can't pick the 2nd and 3rd favorite :)
First one is by far the most awesome - just because of the look :)

My personal favourite too :-)
Would have loved for this post to have reached further eyes just because of that photo :D

Well I think all these shots are amazing! The dogs shots are stunning and your explanation about how you noticed you could create such photos with your phone just shows how skilled you are. I loved the green color and the reflecions on the tree shot, and that haze behind Tink the cat just makes the portrait even more beautiful! The overall writing style is so warm and funny it just made give you a warm response as well. Great post indeed!
