Gata de Gorgos

My entry for todays #streetphotography is "Gata de Gorgos" the contest is initiated by @juliank

Last week I hired a car with the aim to get to a town called Javea in the northern part of the Costa Blanca , however my car broke down and I ended up in Gata de Gorgos.

Gata de Gorgos is quite near to Javea, about 10 Kilometres inland and also a lot quieter. It is a small village with a population of around 5500. It is also known for its wicker industry.

The main road of the village is quite pretty and the few shops that there are, are mainly tourist shops and will generally be selling something straw. There are also a couple of bars and restaurants. I managed to get a decent "menu del dia" (Spanish set menu, which is 3 courses and served at lunch time) for just 11 euros.

This is a really quiet little town, so don't expect anything to happen at night, in fact everything is closed by 10 pm. There are a few hotels in the village, which is great if you fancy the quiet life, but make sure you have a car, to explore the surrounding areas of the Northern Costa Blanca.
