A Brief Tour Through Moscow

in #moscow10 years ago

Hello everybody! I am a citizen of Moscow and only now I realized in what wonderful city I live though I live here since my birth (22 years:). I don't know if you visited Moscow or not, but using Internet and other wonders of technology (sorry for my English if something is not correct) I can share the beauty of this fascinating place.Below I will speak about 5 the most popular places among tourists or which deserve your attention!:)

5. The Gorky Park

If you are not in favor of museums or the same places, it's not a trouble. You can spend your time in the modern and central park of Moscow. There you can do many things, starting from lying on the grass and riding a bike to taking part in many sport competitions or tasting different kind of food on the fair.

#4. Old Arbat

Another place for walking is Old Arbat, which is one of the oldest pedestrian zones in Russia. This street cannot be described by words, you shall see it by your own eyes. One thing, which I can do for sure, is to tell you that this zone is worth visiting and moreover you have a chance to eat in the delicious cafes and restaurants of Moscow!:)

#3. Moscow Underground

If you don't like to sunk in the sun or the weather turned bad, underground can be a transport and a museum at the same time. During the Soviet Union all stations were built differently and each of the is unique. As I use this kind of transport constantly, I don't wonder sculptures and other masterpieces which are located there but after observing tourists I realized finally that I don't value such things which I see every day while foreign visitors see them with delight.

#2. Cathedral of Christ the Saviour

Finally, historical buildings have arrived in this post))) Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is one of the biggest cathedrals in Russia. It was built in 1860 but was destroyed in 1931 according to the decision of management of the Soviet Union. Thankfully, it was rebuilt in the end of 90's. Inside you can see beautiful and great icons and church painting of the walls.

#1. Red Square

I hope it's not a surprise for you that Red Square takes the 1st place. It's the heart of Moscow and the whole Russia also. Great walls have defended the Kremlin for hundreds of years. The road is made of paving stone and the view is unforgettable, you can spend there the whole day but it will be like a second.

Of course, there are more places worth visiting, but these 5 are the most excited in my opinion. I hope it was useful information and welcome to Moscow:) if you have any questions, I will be glad to answer them)
