Short Journeys
Train travels are fun. I have been doing loads of them since the time I have been here in Mumbai, it's just back-to-back travels only since the time I have landed in the city. Even though it gets hectic at times, it still feels fun, especially in this weather when there is so much greenery all throughout the journey.
Last evening, I was returning from Ahmedabad, my sister's place. It is a 6 hours train journey. Before, whenever I used to travel here, I would normally take a night train which was even longer and would take around 9 to 10 hours to reach, but now there are new superfast trains and this journey is covered in 5.5 hours during day time. I prefer to take this then the night one. The new Vande Bharat trains which are introduced since a few months are really very nice, they serve meals also and they run across many destinations in India. I have booked most of my travels this time on this particular train. They are neat and tidy and better facilities and services in comparison to the old trains.
India has a big population and majority of it is Middle and Lower class who cannot afford flights so these systems are required and it will also encourage people to travel by trains when the train facilities are better. I usually avoid because sometimes I find the facilities not very clean and with long travels it is not very convenient. I hope that the people and staff all together will maintain these new trains and keep the standard high as what it is right now.

It was a nice 6 hours journey with these green views all along the way, when I reached the city limits, I felt the hurt in my eyes looking at the concrete jungle.
Today is a rest day and again tomorrow back on the road.
