Always remember to put you first

So there's this funny statement that people make, especially friends and family members "pray for me when I get to the top we will all enjoy". Now the question is, what makes you think I don't want to get to the top as well? We all want to make it in this life.

Let me tell you a little story . I have this friend who is more like a brother, we grew up together but he completed school before me because I dropped out of school at some point. So he kept telling me to pray for him to get a job and earn money for both of us. At last God answered our prayers, he got a well paid job in another state so he Left.

Well,that was it. He changed completely. He never use to call or come around. In fact even when he was in town, he never showed up. I only use to hearing from others, he stopped picking calls and will never return them either. So one day I sat down and asked myself. Why can't I pray for me to get to the top? Why trust him? Then I realized that I never use to put me first.

I am to love me before loving another. Am to pray for myself before praying for another, am to trust myself before trusting another. Bottom line is always put yourself before others, for even the Holy Bible says " love they neighbor as thyself
