Once - A story
I could not figure out why, but I just knew it.
It could not have been any other way.

It had been thirty minutes since I had been paddling towards the point marked on the map. The snow helped. Otherwise I would have given up long back. That's kind of funny when you think of it. The need to not freeze in the open, which was a decision I made to get to the location, was the only reason that now kept me going forward. Not even the thought of unlimited riches.
The Island started appearing in the distance peeping out of the fog filled horizon.
I grinned and doubled my efforts.
