How To Make A Speedboat Fiberglass

in #tutorial7 years ago

On this occasion I will continue my previous post about the material of fiberglass boat material. Well we just continue, step step of making fiberglass ship.

Steps of Fiber Boat Production:

  1. First we make first mold (container print) a ship hull (preferably made at location near sea / big river) with wood and teriplek as picture no 1 (mold / mold).

  2. After the mold is finished, first the inner surface of the mold is lubricated first with polish to facilitate the opening of the mold after the shipbuilding process is complete, then paint with plincoat paint as a process of hull dyeing (the color of the paint is tailored to the wishes) plincoat paint is produced from a mixture of talk, acrylic paints and resin oil (in this process the use of the catalyst is mixed on the plincoat paint dough when used only / during spelling process only).

after the paint of plincoat in dry mold and has been smoothed with a grinding disc by using grinding wheels, the process of making hulls ready to start, the first layer with a bandage mat / mesh (fine fiber) and the second with roving (rough fiber) and the last bandage with mat again , all coating layers of the fibers are covered with a catalyst mixed resin oil using a roll brush, a mixture of resin catalyst oil + catalyst depending on the duration of the desirable drying process, eg 5 liters of resin oil diluted by 5 cc of catalyst liquid requires drying time 3-5 minutes (with bright weather asumis), the thickness of the hull depends on the size and size of the ship, the larger the vessel must be thicker the ship's hull, the specification of the hull layer is as follows: mat-roving-mat, the hull of the ship is done continuously must be at the same time so do not in the connection except for the process of thickening.

  3. After the process of stage 2 along the bilge of the ship was given fiber bone bone to give strength to the hull of the ship, then to the stage of making the rooms on the ship in accordance with the design drawings made by re-molding or can also be directly made with fiber plate, making fiber and bone fiber plate is the same as hull making process but mold (mold) a flat fiber shape like a floor and mold of fiber bone shape like wooden pole.

  4. The room that needs to be made in the hull of the ship is a fuel tank, engine room (if using the engine in) steering installation (bow) other, for clean water tanks should be made on the roof of the ship.

  5. Other additional accessories can be made outside the body of the ship with the cetakanya such as making doors, stairs, trellis, window frames and others. The example below is the process of making the ship's door.

    c. the entire surface of the mold is wrapped with mat + woven and painted (casted) with a catalyst / hardener resin using a normal roll brush.

  6. The final process is the finishing body of the ship (casting and painting) and installing the engine (for the engine that is installed in the hull of the ship must be accompanied by the installation of blower or cooling fan), and other kasesoris.
