Ant Demonstrating it's Super Strength
I'm always amazed when I see ants carrying huge objects (relative to themselves). It's said that an ant can carry anywhere from ten to fifty times it's own body weight. Imagine the pressure on those joints.
Here is a quote from the Nature World News web site:
...the neck joint of a common American field ant can withstand pressures up to 5,000 times greater than its own body weight.
That's pretty impressive!
