A Wednesday walk

Today, I walked. Because it’s good for my heart and soul.

And also because it’s Wednesday.

We walked today to another favorite spot near my home, on the sacred burial lands of a Wampanoag woman ! It’s important to remember who these beautiful coastlines first belonged to, and that the earth needs our love, respect and protection.

So we (my cutie cousin Rosie and I) walked along the path, through the forest.

Until once again we reached the sand.

On another foggy overcast day.

The recent shark attack brought us to walk at the salt marsh instead of the ocean today.

Where there is a heavy sadness mixed into the salty air.

And here we find treasures.

The whole landscape is a treasure!

It’s one of those “I can’t believe I really live here” days.

So I inhale.
Beauty.
Salt.
Cool wet windy air.

And exhale.
the rest.

And leave a simple offering for those that came before.

It’s the least we can do.

To stay mindful.
