How I stay active and fit ~ exercising at home ~ Week Five ~ Six Week Health Challenge

Hello guys!!

Finally, I had the time to write this post! Eveybody!! We're in Week Five of #sixweekhealth Challenge hosted by @healthsquared and beautiful @sweetsssj! You can join here !

In this post, I want to show you guys how I stay active and fit while exercising at home! I don't know why, but I'm feelling much comfortable at home and not to the gym. Here is just me, with my music, with my space, with my buddies in need (xD my cats and dogs), with my stuff. I prefer going to the park or somewhere outdoor, but not the gym.

Anyways, I do all kind of exercises. From planks, abs, squats, swimmers, jumping jacks, crunches, high knees to burpees, sit-ups, leg lifts, etc etc etc. 

Before I write about my experience, I want to remember you the benefits of being active in order to motivate you to start/continue with exercising and keeping your body fit:

  • your vitality will grow
  • you'll have better mental health
  • your self esteem will grow
  • your sleep will improve
  • contol weight
  • improve muscle and bone health 
  • boosts your energy levels.

But like a BIG CONCLUSION, you'll be much healthier!

Ok, moving on! 

This is the equipment I had:

  1. Jumping rope
  2. One mattres 
  3. Dumbbells
  4. One small stepper
  5. Exercise ball
  6. Pull rope
  7. Sit-up bank

And now, I want you to meet my "Workout buddies" ! Even if I want to, I couldn't be alone in this! This time, we have Tomy, Joy and Mercy ( the dog). You can see the "evidence" of their iminent presence on the mattres, mostly the cats!

Back to the subject, I always start warming my body with easy exercises.  This is a must. 

Here is me, doing some planks and some exercises for the legs and the abs.  

Planking exercises is not just to strengthen your core. When planking, shoulder, biceps, neck, and also the muscles are strained.

Here is a photo of me on the stepper. 

By using the stepper:

  • Your aerobic capacity increases.  
  • You burn calories 
  • Improve stress levels. 
  • You tone your muscles

Now I jump a bit using this rope :p

When you think at cardio equipment, a Jmping rope is all you need. It can improve your coordination and can your cognitive function will improve too.

Here I try to do some exercises for my back! It is really a blessing this ball! I love it! I feel so relaxed when I use her:)

This ball is good for all our muscles and help us to ameliorate knee,back or hip injuries, regain a better posture, flexibility and core stability.

These two Dumbbells are my little friends! 

The muscles are better activated when we use dumbells because they create inter and intramuscular coordination

This gif is so funny! I was trying to be serios, but I looked up to my "muscles" when I started to laugh I told my mom "cut the video", but I wanted to share it with you 'cause it's pretty funny.

This pull string  can be used for multiple workouts, you just need to learn how to play with it:)

And here you can see...I do abs. I love doing abs actually!

Ok guys, this post is pretty much done! 

Hope you understand the need of being active and fit! You don't need equipment if you don't have one. Just search on the internet all those infinite workouts without equipment needed. To be active is important to do what you like. Just like me, I don't like to much going to the gym, but I found a way how to keep fit!  When you feel unmotivated, read about how exercising improves your health. I always do this and it works wonderful!

Hmm, I like her post. it's pretty original. And I really hope she manages to stay active and fit that way. Anyway, when you have babies it's hard to find time for yourself and if she can do it that way, around her baby , then she's a smart girl.

Training is the key of staying for and healthy. Yet too many people comfort in lazy activities or just resting without doing something useful for their health. I used to love to go to the gym but a heart problem stopped me from making any effort. My ambition haven't kept me away from sport though, as I played basketball for a year but then again, my health stopped me. It kind of annoys me when I see people who don't want to make any effort for their health meanwhile I'm here wanting to make any activity.. :(

I'm so sorry to hear about your problem. What happend exactly? and you are so right. I never though this way actually. We are so blessed to be physiologically capable to do sports. Your words came to me in a unexpected way:) Hope all people realise how exercising is one of the best things to do for their health.

I had a mild heart attack and now I feel like my heart is going crazy on every little effort I'm making..

Ohhh I'm so sorry to hear this....:( but how do you feel normally?

Depends on my mood very much, when anxiety and depressions hit me, I don't feel so well. Those have a big impact on my heart pains..that's why I'm always trying to have a occupation so I don't think too much about things

We should really talk about it. Did you have problems with anxiety and depression? :(

I still have.. it's already a little over two years..but that's fine..I learn how to appreciate little things more than usual :)

This sounds like me. The lazy part and the heart problem :)
Don't let it get you down, most heart problems are solvable. Atrial or ventricular? Get a second or third opinion. Get a Huami Fitness Band to monitor your heartrate and do EKG's whenever you want. Like wearing a holter, but without the cables or jelly on you :)

I have one and it works perfectly. There are other cheaper ones but this one I can say it actually works.

Yeah, I've been looking for something like this for a while but now I'm trying to save every cent to upgrade my video equipment for my travels :)

Did you think about a Drone?
A chinese cheap one? With a GoPro mount, so you can lend a GoPro or a GoPro 360 and amaze us with drone video? Drones start from 99$ and I can lend you my GoPro, it doesn't have to be the best.

I already have a GoPro camera. But it's the very first one which was released 8 years ago, haha. Yes I was thinking about a drone and a new GoPro camera..an upgrade to GoPro hero 6 but I really have to save a lot for those..so it will take a lot of time until I can make this happen.. :(

You have already met the chinese alternative geek. You don't need a GoPro, you need an Elecam or Socam ( a chinese alternative using a similar chip which is 60-90$ ). And the drone is 99$ so a total of 160$ and I bet you will only have to pay VAT on import for the drone.

Hey! Sorry to hear that. I was also sick this last week, meaning a had a flu! I'm doing ok, here with everything that's going around my life haha! But I'm doing fine, really ok! nothing to complain. What about you?

I think it's again the time when everybody gets the flu....
I am only complaining about me being sick... have to train because I have a volleyball competition in a month but I can't -.- But besides that everything is great :D

You motivate me to start with some work out too! Thank you for that, I really want to do some of this as soon as I got healthy again;)

Hey, this is something really easy. Everytime I have a few minutes, I do some of these activities. There are days when I exercise a whole hour or something like that. But there are also days when I just jump the rope a bit or do like "100 steps on the stepper" , depends on the mood and the time. But having these on their exactly spot, I always found them there and even if I'm passing by, I take 2-3 minutes to do something. You know what I mean? Why do you have to be "healthy again"? it's because of the baby?
