Well...how about that?
It's been almost 2 weeks since I submitted my very first post under the palnet tag. At the time I wasn't even sure how it would play out or what to expect. As a matter of fact I had no expectations at all.
How could I? And why should I?
That was then...But if you ask me now, I have really high expectations for this project and I am pretty sure most of those who have claimed and powered up their coins from the recent claimdrop -which is still in full effect till the end of the month,- will more or less give you the same answer.
So 10 posts later under the palnet tag and after reading @abh12345's latest post I had to see for myself if there are posts that earn more -usd wise- on palnet.io
Note that while on steem I am holding 12.7K SP and after 18 months I am (?) a happy dolphin, on palnet I am only holding...1137 PP (Pal Power) and obviously I am a small fish swimming in an ocean of opportunities.
What's the verdict @mindtrap?
Well, unless I've done something wrong, I found out that this post of mine will earn more USD in PAL than in Steem. Just a tiny bit of more...but it will!!! And remember...that's under the 50 - 50 model.
-So is this possible?
Of course it is.
-Will I buy more PAL coins?
Of course I will.
-Does that mean that you'll start a power down and convert your SP to PP you piece of shit....traitor?
It crossed my mind for a split second but for a split second only. I guess I am too attached with my SP to do that, so I'll probably use some fiat money.
Now imagine the effects when more and more people start buying and powering up their tokens.
Oh and this....
2000 STEEM is about $820 this morning. Do you know how much it would cost to be the top 50 Steem Power account holder? About $150,000. I know which one suits my budget more.
I know what suits my budget more as well mate.
On the road to orca status on PAL...Anyone interested?
How much PP does it take to be an orca?

Assuming that metrics haven't changed, 50K PP
2500 coins gives you the same percentage of control over inflation on PAL as you'd get with 500,000 Steem.
There are only 1.55 million powered up PAL coins,
while there are 199 million powered up Steem coins.
Every PAL coin that gets powered up at the moment controls hundreds of times more inflation than a Steem coin.
This is especially true when you consider the 12.6 million 1:1 sell wall on Steem engine. All those 12.6 million coins are generating inflation but none of those coins are staked... making the reward pool gigantic.
Meanwhile, around 2/3 of all Steem is staked, while 10% of PAL is staked currently. In order for those numbers to change drastically the sell wall has to start getting bought out, automatically raising the value of PAL x3 to 1:1 parity.
What a great explanation there. Thanks for the detailed input @edicted.
... but @mindtrap there's only an initial supply of 21 million PAL! :)
I really wish I had more fiat to invest when the price of PAL was running $0.03. I see a lot of good things in the future for this project.
Well, just read what @clayboyn just wrote above and...act accordingly...
Who knows...there might be a day where 0.135$ will be considered a steal...
Is there like a palnet upvote calculator where I could see where I stand?
I don’t really know if there is but according to holger you need ~ 3300 PP to cast 1 pal upvote...
Heh heh, you said PP. :)
