Don’t let ‘obligations’ ruin your life - Free writing

-Rough days,very rough...

It was the first thing i heard as i opened the door in the morning to go to work,the voice of mrs Maria’s ,an almost 90 year old lady that lives across the street

-The only way to stand this life is when you remember what you are missing...to be grateful for what you have...

And she continued to wipe the pavement.

I stayed there skeptical looking at her.
She stopped,looked at me and smiled.

-Of course she told me

-Why do you think i am still alive?

-If i was constantly thinking how could my life be (if)...I would have jumped off the balcony long ago.

-In every bad thing that happens to me i do not give all the free space of my mind.Just a tiny.The rest i save it for the good and positive stuff.

I do not know if it was the way she said it,but all of a sudden it made me think just like a flashback all those people who randomly met in my life ,even for a hurried conversation,such as a simple good morning and made me feel good.

And as i brought it in my mind i realized that all of them were hiding in the most bizarre places

I got in the car and drove to work full of thoughts as she continued to wipe her pavement

The truth is that if you rewind your life you ll see all the stress you ve been through... -to pay the rent,the electricity your taxes,your loan- these are just obligations.

Life is all the rest...where due to those stupid obligations made you lose your smile and forgot how to LIVE

Just a tiny little place of her mind is what mrs Maria gives to those “obligations”
