In memory of Mt. Pulag (Before the Forest Fire)

in #philippines7 years ago (edited)

Mt. Pulag is the 3rd highest peak in the Philippines it is about 9600ft above sea level. Many tourist are visiting this place due to its magnificent view and the sea of clouds during sunrise.. The mountain alone gives me a lot of reasons to go back and enjoy what nature has to offer. It is also a perfect place to reflect and think about life.

I am lucky, very lucky enough to conquer it once with my friends, lucky enough to enjoy what the mountain has to offer and lucky enough to view it's beauty. Hiking Mt. Pulag has molded me into what I am today and I can say that the mountain has changed me.. Mt Pulag instilled in me the passion for outdoors. I love Mt. Pulag. You will always be a part of my heart. But for now its time for you to just heal, recover what you have lost and thank you for the memories .

To all hikers and outdoor enthusiasts out there, please let us be responsible enough to take care of our nature and preserve it for future generations. Let us avoid this from happening again to our other mountains. The negligence of this group due to an idiotic carelessness has already caused us this great mountain and it could no longer be undone. Hopefully the people responsible would pay for the damage they had caused.. And because of that many people who has the dream to see the beauty of Mt Pulag is now broken.

“Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time.”

Great pictures man! Ganda talaga ng sea of clouds! Unfortunately this is what these mountains suffer once it gets tons of attention. Even yung hindi true mountaineer goes up there without the basic do's and don'ts of keeping the environment clean and safe. Not saying only mountaineer can climb, but atleast everybody undergoes some sort of briefing before the start the hike. Hehe Cheers!

Thank you sir... I agree..it's jst very alarming... I also heard a fire in mt ulap..

Yeah. My wife said there were 3 mountains that caught fire. Pulag, Ulap and another one, I just cant remember which. She thinks it was premeditated, I hope not.

Nice pic, i also want to go and visit the place😘

aftr 6 month pwde na daw po ulit
