Calls of Quiet desperation...On those very rare occasions when CPS might actually be needed?...AWOL.

I am going to post an actual plea from a concerned relation of the child of a meth head. I am not going to tell you where I found it, or even the web address where you might find it, in order to protect the identity of the family and the reporter in what many would deem to be an actual situation where LAW ENFORCEMENT (not so-called "child protective" "services" ...CPS...or sometimes "DCF"--though they have pretended to have usurped the role) probably SHOULD have been involved.

Sadly, as is so typical with CPS, whenever there is a real case of potential child abuse going on --especially if/when it may involve addictive hard-core drug abuse by parents and a child who is now "damaged goods" and not easily adoptable as a result ...it's all crickets from them.

Here is that plea:

"A toddler had a hair follicle test which showed he had been exposed to meth while he was in sole custody of mother who has past record (and admits) using meth. She even admitted she used it when she was pregnant with this child. DCF does not care and in fact told the mother to press legal charges against the person who has called the DCF hotline twice. Mother has tested negative for meth usage and has told several people different ways to pass the drug tests. DCF worker seems to be friends with her. Anyone have suggestions???"

The posting is still "live" on a fairly popular message board but not one person has responded to the poster. I am going to reply with the link to this article to at least let that concerned individual know that at least there are some of us who care about the plight of such families, and that we NOTICE whenever the bureauRATS are CPS are avoiding their work, and when they (routinely) only act when there is some significant financial incentive for doing so, and when the parents-- through lack of education, intelligence or connections--are easy targets.

This kind of situation is NOT unusually. I have written about just such situations before in this blog. It is obvious for anyone with eyes to see that CPS is not really interested in helping families and children, but in feathering their own nests, grasping for more and more unwarranted power, and serving the predatory needs of the sick, twisted elements that run our modern societies.

There should be nothing shocking or surprising about this, because it has all been foretold in the Scriptures:

"But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come. 2For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good,…" II Timothy 3:1-3

My suggestion to this poster is simple...DO NOT CONTACT CPS. They are a total waste of time when it comes to actually getting help in situations like this. Find out first if the baby's mom has any authority figures over them that they might still respect...a favorite teacher, coach, pastor or priest...older family member, etc. Enlist their help and GO with them to confront the mother. If she is still using, take the next steps WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT (if/when necessary) to get that child into a safer environment (hopefully with a responsible relative) and that mother into rehab.
