Birthday Present to my new friend Romy✨
I met Romy a while back in Caracas during a Drink & Draw gathering in 2017, she was really friendly and we exchanged contact info but it think we never talked again until recently, that I saw she had moved to Medellín as well.
So I invited her to come to one of the monthly reunions I do with other fellow Venezuelans Illustrators here in the city, that was during August but she couldn't attend to that one so she wrote me again in September asking when were doing the meeting again, and well finally that day she came over to our reunion and we really enjoyed a good time drawing improvised comics strips between all the attendees with really cool and amusing results.
Since then we've been friends and it's very cool, she's a really nice and amazing person :3.
During October's illustrator's meeting something funny happened, we drew each other and she challenged me later to draw her in this big headed cartoon style, which I did using a photo of her holding the previous drawing I had done of her....in which she was drawing me while I was drawing her back .
So it became like a sort of funny joke, because it was like the movie Inception, a drawing of her holding a drawing of her drawing me....and well I told her last week I would drew her again holding that drawing.... sorry if it sounds confusing, I know it's not easy, but I'm confident you will get it once you see the drawings bellow hehehe.
Technical Info:
Traditional Media on a B5 cut bristol sheet
Mechanical Pencil HB, inkpens and Colour Markers and Watercolour.
Possibly 4 hours spread in two nights.
