Dude! You know, I might be in the minority, but I'm divided about the whole milestone thing. Sure, I love a good 'ol milestone post, especially the ones that really commemorate the journey to get there. @dreemit's jam-packed milestone post is an awesome example that comes to mind. But, when someone posts a "milestone" every other day, then it kind of loses its luster, doncha' think?
I mean, milestones are something to celebrate. By definition, it's a mark of something that was hard to reach. If someone is celebrating milestones every now and then, it means that those particular milestones aren't that hard to reach to begin with (at least for said person). Sure, it's an achievement, but posting a 50-word piece that just says you earned this much, then posting a week later that the previous milestone post earned you this much, then it's kind of like just milking the teat, if you will. Gaming the system, I suppose.
Anyway, yeah, everyone has the right to do it, sure. To each his own, I guess. I just prefer boulder-sized celebratory post, packed with meat. A mileboulder.
What I'm sure of though, is how much I like the sweet and simple animation. I would've thought you animating the guy literally hitting a mile stone haha though, but maybe the laid back nature of the fisher folk has relaxed you a bit :D
I completely agree with you dude! This animation is not what it started out as. The original was mocking the milstone antics a bit but ultimately in the end I saw it as being a bit mean and maybe being able to be taken as an attack on people who post them and since mean-ness isnt really in my nature I changed it. The original had another person in it who wasnt that impressed ;O)
So with you there dude, especially when you see one posted every other day. The only one I have done is my 70 rep one lol and that was just sheer amazement at getting there!

Nothing really wrong with milestones, but yeah, it should be something that would make people go "WOW! :O" I'm happy for all the milestones, I really am, but I draw the line on seeing milestone post centered on what a milestone post made haha
Haha! I just hope your animation gets interpreted that way and knock some sense into their heads. Or, it could lead to hundreds of milestone posts tomorrow marking their milestone of realizing that milestone posts should be about a certain hard-to-reach goal haha!
