Breakfast & Melange at Cafe Phil
This Friday I had a business breakfast at Cafe Phil. It is located in the Gumpendorfer Street right in the 6th discrict of Vienna. I love the place to hang out, drink a melange and eat healthy. It's also a book store and you can find here arty post cards. I always recommend the Cafe to my guests at Hug Inn Vienna, when they want to experience a local & modern coffee house. On the other side of the road is the Cafe Sperl which is an old and classical coffee house. So this location is ideal to see both the modern and the classical Viennese coffee culture. Cafe Phil is open from 9 a.m to 1 a.m from Tuesday to Sunday. It's not suitable for kids, but the place to be for locals. The place is easy to reach with the public services meaning metro 4,2,3 and bus 57A or with the bike. For car drivers it's not easy to find a place to park near the building.
The early morning is the best time to explore the Cafe, because it's becoming crowdy later which makes it difficult to find a place to sit sometimes.
I ordered Melange and the Philgood Breakfast. The coffee taste perfect and the food is healthy and tasty. You cannot find such a breakfast everywhere in the city. The salad, the bread and humus are delicious. Also the other meals on the menu are yummy, just try it yourself!
My personal judgement in different categories about the restaurant:
Food: 10/10
Price: 9/10
Location: 9/10
Service: 10/10
