Usually my hippie travel style doesn’t include renting a car but since I arrived in Azores was talking to her and we see that there are many things that are difficult to do on the island only by bus and having a car we would be more free to move whenever we want and all /1

But we came for 28 days of São Miguel and not only 3-7 so definitely renting a car for the whole month is not possible. Since it’d cost us more than what we paid for the airbnb. (Reserved 3 months ago) /2

But there are LOTS of tourists on the island and many rent cars. Locals are also quite nice so hitchhiking is not that hard. — what is the point of renting s car if everybody else already did it? - I told her - hahahah /3

Today we decided to test this theory. After getting a bus early morning and doing a 3h trekking to janela do inferno we tried to get a lift to “lagoa do fogo”. /4

BAM!!! First car gave us a lift and saved us a 3h extra walk. Making it 10 min on the foggy roads. Beautiful. It ended up being one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been. /5

On the first hike I noticed that lots of people do the walk on the nature fast and don’t even stop to appreciate and contemplate. Really curious. For me the process is as important as reaching the place or final point. In everything in life actually. /6

Afterwards we still spend the whole afternoon around the lake just walking and contemplating. It’s amazing. The pictures can’t really get all the beauty of #açores /7

It’s curious that there are several seagulls on the place and many die there. Probably of old age or something. You can find lots of bones in some places what reminds me of death. Memento mori. /8

You’re gonna die so enjoy life. Each and every moment. Don’t waste your time pursuing someone’s elses dreams. Build nice things. Make good art. Share emotions. /9
