Five Nuggets from Uncle Faust (Episode 6)
Five nuggets is a series inspired by an accidental collision with a similar project by Tim Ferris, author of The 4 Hour Work Week and Tools for Titans. In this weekly series, I share five things which caught my interest this week through my wanderings, web surfing, researching and time spent on Steemit.
Without further ado, five nuggets which caught my attention this week:
Raubdruckerin (Pirate Printers)
Raubdruckerin is a new subculture emerging in the fashion industry, which translates to “Pirate Printers.” This collective of artists use mundane and overlooked public structures to create artistic prints on shirts, clothing, and handbags. Manhole covers are by far the most popular choice for prints, but not the only medium choice. The collective has also used artistic paver stones, water main covers, and street signs to generate artistic prints on clothing and handbags.
Raubdruckerin is described as the opposite of street art because street art brings something into the public space, where Raubdruckerin takes something from it. It’s by far the most interesting find of the week.

While searching for some additional content for the Rhapsodist Writing Challenge #5 this week, I came across an incredible miniseries on YouTube called Seeking Secrets. In this three part miniseries, people anonymously share some of their deepest secrets with strangers who are left to read them aloud and comment about what they have just read.
It’s a profound three part series worth about 15 minutes of your time to watch.

About one year ago, I was watching an episode of The Big Think which Featured Penn Jillette of Pen and Teller. While he is widely known for his Las Vegas act, he is also one of the most well-spoken atheists I have ever listened to. I can recall at some point on a podcast, the subject of a Humanist Bible came up, and I was intrigued.

The Good Book Humanist Bible features the works of such notable philosophers as Herodotus, Lucretius, Confucius, Seneca, and Cicero. I'm looking to add this book to my own personal library.
Blind People Describe Beauty
In a world which desperately needs to shatter stereotypes, this video has to be the absolute best example of how wonderfully shallow human beings can be about beauty – even when they are unable to physically see it. I think my favorite part is when the Hollywood myth of blind people touching other people’s faces to “see” them gets destroyed in the most elegant manner possible.

@theguruasia that one is also my favorite. The prints they create from manhole covers are absolutely breathtaking. When I saw the first advertisement for it, they advertised those shirts as the perfect souvenir (and I'd have to agree).
