Good day wonderful steemians am here again to create a post on steemscan based on the following subheadings
Explaining the current Steem price and volumes today?
Explaining what all information is shown under latest transactions and latest blocks section?
Explaining what all information is shown under Witnesses section and steps to vote a Witness?
Explaining what is DApps and mentioning 3 DApps which i have already used or may use in future as per my interest?
Explaining how to use "Quick Convert" and what is the fee charged for different Steem amount for withdrawal?
Explaining what information is provided by the "Search" feature?
First to get the current steem price and volumes, log into steemscan.com, in the first page that pops up you will see

Height: This is the current height of the steem blockchain in real time and if you observe it will increase with time as the transactions in steem increases. As at the time of making this post the current height of steemit blockchain is 58,261,256
Steem/USD: This shows the current price of steem valued in US dollars and just like other cryptocurrencies the steem price rises or falls with market trends. As at the time of making this post the current price of steem in USD is $0.56
Supply: This is the amount of steem coins already minted and are in circulation, same goes to the SBD supply. As at the time of making this post the current supply of steem coin and steem dollar stands at and respectively 392,498,952 STEEM /9,316,929 SBD
You can also tweak the options to reveal the price and volume of steem and SBD daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and even yearly.
Just below the price chart is the latest transactions tab and latest blocks tab. The latest transactions includes detailed information like the block ID, sender ID, senders ID, receivers ID, the type of account performed on the blockchain by the sender which could either be a vote, comment, transfer, account update, claiming a reward balance etc.
You can also filter the lastest transactions by clicking the all just below the latest transactions bar and beside type, this will pop up information including comment, vote, transfer and account update, you can then choose the information you need to be displayed
Beside the latest transactions bar is the latest blocks and unlike the latest transactions that shows a detailed information, the latest blocks show a more simple information with only the block ID and the block transaction in display.
Still on the home page at steemscan.com, click on menu and you will see home, witness, DApps, Dev Tools, Quick Convert, search and steem engine. Click on witness and the following will be displayed on your screen status, rank, version, vote, missed, price feed, reg fee and approval.
On the witness screen click on active user and click on vote, you will see a screen like this
It will show your name and the account you're trying to vote for then click on continue and another screen will come up where you can put your username and your steem private posting key but because it's a vote you need to log in with your private active key to successfully make a vote. Click on get started after imputing your private active key
Click on approve and another screen with transaction ID comes up confirming that you have successfully completed the transaction and you can click view it on steemscan.com to view the transaction
DApps or Decentralized application are softwares that works on distributed ledger technologies. It is not owned by anybody or any organization alone rather it is controlled and collectively owned by it's users

During withdrawal you can use the quick convert action to quickly change your steem coin to either USDT, TRX or BTC. Click on the menu bar in the steemscan.com home page and select quick convert and input the amount of steem you want to convert and choice the currency you would like to convert it to then click create order
There are different withdrawal fee charged upon successful withdrawal and the fee depends on the currency you're converting to

Below the quick convert tab is the search tab which can be used to find information easier on steemscan.com. information that can be gotten from the search bar includes the search type (transaction, block or account), and the ID
In the case of transactions, information required includes transaction ID, type of transaction (comment, vote, account update, transfer, reward claims etc) the amount and date of the transaction
In the case of blocks, information required includes block ID, the account that mined the block, the amount and date of mining
In the case of account, information required includes username and the person you're voting for with the date of the vote
