My Actifit Report Card: June 04 2024

My last walk was to the charming village of Castle Combe in the Cotswolds. As I strolled through the village, I was greeted by picturesque honey-colored stone cottages, a babbling brook, and lush greenery all around. It truly felt like I had stepped back in time to a bygone era.

I wandered around the village square, admiring the medieval market cross and the quaint church of St. Andrew's. I couldn't resist popping into one of the local shops to pick up some handmade goods and chat with the friendly shopkeeper about the village's history.

I also had the pleasure of meeting some of the local residents, including a group of elderly gentlemen playing a game of bowls in the village green. They kindly shared stories with me about life in Castle Combe and gave me some tips on other hidden gems to explore in the area.

Overall, it was a delightful walk filled with history, natural beauty, and warm encounters with the locals. Castle Combe is definitely a place I will be returning to soon!
