The blocktrades contest | Anarchaforko Anarchapulco Fork Update: Frequently Asked Questions
Hi, @lily-da-vine here with my entry for the blocktrades contest. I've been an extremely active member of Steemit for over two years sharing everything from our on the run adventures to the happenings of Anarchaforko, a community generated event. Last year one of the three days was Steemit themed and I did a panel with @kennyskitchen and @erikaharris about Steemit and how to be successful on Steemit. There will likely be a Steemit themed day once again especially if there's desire for it like there was last year.
Steemit has allowed us to share not only our story but about our current lives here in Acapulco which are diverse. We have been an example for Steemit that you can support yourself and thrive off of the website. While many people take pride in not making money off the platform I think the fact that you can reward content creators for their work is one of the best features of the system. The world is looking for a way to compensate content creators and Steemit has been one of the few projects actually attempting to work towards that.
@anarchaforko in many ways was born and developed here in Steemit from when we first announced our intent to fork, to when we finished the first fork event last year to now when I spend lots of time considering all questions I can that people might have. The post I chose for today is not a pretty one, as I only made one photo for the header but I put a lot of love, time and effort into the content in the hopes that it helps people interested in the project to understand it further. Instead of using wordpress to share our blog updates, we instead opted to support Steemit and our @anarchaforko Steemit page is linked directly from the website. Steem and Steem dollars are also one of the few currencies we accept to help support the system. One of the goals of the fork is also to congregate the many Steemians that come to Acapulco during Anarchapulco.
