SEC S15 WK1: "Life on Social Media"

A pleasant day to everyone here on the Steemit platform. I'm happy that I am again here to share my participation in the Steemit engagement challenge in the Steemit community. Sharing ideas on the topic will help everyone understand and get some knowledge about social media.

Do you support that our daily lives should be put up on social media all the time?

It's a YES for me because I want my family and friends to know what my daily life is like here in another country. How I survive without them on my side? I think social media will refer us to diverse ways in which we can utilize some of the platforms. It contains many activities like getting some information, seeking an online job, and watching entertainment, it is good also for educating our children but most of all, we can make our lives easy by doing online shopping.

The reason why I support that our daily lives should be put up on social media all the time is because I want them to be a part of my journey here in abroad. This is the only way to comfort myself from loneliness and missing my family. Even though some viewers have an unfavorable comment about me it will not bother me nor I will ignore it and continue sharing my life here. I want to let my family and friends know what I'm eating, what places I visited here, and meeting a new friend and others.

Have you ever experienced or seen any case where a person has the habit of showcasing his life on social media and the effects turned out well?

Yes, some people show their lives on social media which leads them to be a more wealthy person. There are many bloggers today who successfully become millionaires because of showing themselves on social media like Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other platform. They show their lives and their treasures by making their life blog.
There is one blogger who bought a house and lot for his mom. They made a renovation of the house which cost a lot of millions. It was only a surprise gift for his mom.
I have seen also a blogger who shows case the life of a poor girl who has a son at the age of 12 years old. She got a million views and received cash donations from the many viewers as their help for the young mother. Now the young mother has a new business and improves their life better. They no longer rely on the help of others but they are trying to get out of their poverty.

Do you think all the showcases on social media are true?

I think there are some showcases on social are not true because there are some instances in which some of the accounts have been hacked by others. They used the name and the photo to ask for some money from your friends and family. There are some markets placed on social media that sell a beautiful dress or pants online but when you order the goods arrive at your address which is not the same as they posted.
Nowadays in social media, many people claim that they own a big house to impress anyone who views it. They are living a fraudulent lifestyle because the truth is they are living only beside the big house.
Also, I have seen a boy who drives an airplane as a pilot but then he is only seated on a plane holding the steering wheel.

Do you feel safe on Steemit with your information? What can you say about Steemit

Yes, Steemit is my favorite social media platform compared to other platforms. It is more secure because your account is protected with many keys that only the users know.
This Steemit is a social media blockchain that integrates you to get a reward when you engage with content on the platform. Unlike the other social media platforms, you can get a reward for your content when you meet a certain requirement of their platform. But here at Steemit, when you create an authentic blog you get more rewards because some Steemians will engage with your post. You are free to express yourself here in Steemit without hesitation to others.
