The Old Dog Demonstrates: How to Drive More Traffic To Steemit!

in #marketing7 years ago (edited)

If You Write About Someone, Someplace or Somewhere, Let Them Know!

In a recent post I wrote about an interesting Street Music Act "Grooviculous " that I saw on my visit to Galway Ireland. After posting it I found their Facebook page and let them know that I had featured them in one of my recent blog articles.

Watch The Sequence Of Events Here!

Step One: I let Them Know That I Posted An Article That Featured Them!

Above you can see that I contacted them on their Facebook page and I got an enthusiastic response!

Step Two: It was Their Turn. They Posted A Link To My Article On Their Facebook Page!

Notice how they also linked to Steemit's Facebook page! Pretty cool isn't it!?

How To Drive Traffic To Steemit!

  • If the person, place, group or business that you are writing about has a Facebook page post there!
  • If they only have an e mail address send them a link to your article and let them know about it!

What Do You Think?

  • Could you do something similar?
  • Have you done something like this?
  • What results have you had?
  • Do you have any other ideas?

Until next time,

@kus-knee (The Old Dog)

You are good at this stuff.

I just did the same thing with a blog I wrote featuring a local bar. I posted the blog on their facebook page. Great marketing idea. I'll let you know what the response is. https://steemit.com/travel/@wakeupsheeps/the-wonder-bar-asbury-park-nj-yappy-hour

Great stuff!

Good to see your work. @papa-pepper included you in his latest video series for newer steamians and I followed you thru that post. Glad I did.

thanks mentor.... i have never done that before but i'll try it and take your advice into consideration..... thanks for sharing

Imagine if we all did it as much as possible!

it will be great indeed... thanks... you've thought me a great lesson today....

Nice posting. That is I called social media platform collaboration. :)

Yes indeed!

Well done, thank you for the words of wisdom on this one. Healthy tricks to help us all on the short and long run too. All for one and one for all. Namaste :)

Yes I think it helps both parties.

You're always spot on where it counts, @kus-knee. Love what you're doing.

You're great!

The following is a post I made on FB. I posted it on my page which didn't really get much action, but I also posted it on the Steemit FB sites and on all the artist FB pages I am a part of and post to. (FB is the only other social media platform I participate in.) I had lots of responses on those posts, though haven't yet had anyone who took me up on the offer to help them get a Steemit account.

Then I added some yummy pictures to entice them!

I've done the same as you suggested most recently for a plumber who came to our rescue for free and also reached out to his friends who gave us the connection and sent him our way. They all shared the post and their friends then got in on the commenting.

Great post @kus-knee, as always!

Awe---I like your kinda bones!! Thanks for sharing the wealth @kus-knee. It's always a pleasure to engage with you and your thought provoking posts. I so appreciate what you have to share, in more ways than one!!! Thank you for the blessing.

Thanks to you @everlove!

@everlove. I have a smile and a good feeling every time I see your username! Wow you already have 65 artists engaged on Steemit. You're doing a wonderful job of networking and I'm so happy to see you succeeding!

Ahhh--life's simple pleasures!! @everlove was a name given to me by a dear one, which name I aspire to live up to!

I'm so happy that the response to these collaborations has been so amazing. I'm so stoked about the family feeling we are creating here that I feel it is important to share it. I'm thankful you share some of your tricks for marketing. I'm not really big into the media networking scene, so do what I can by inspiring with what already is. I love getting in on your posts as I feel you engage the reader to participate. Thanks for being you @kus-knee.

You are so kind and your dear one gave you the right name @everlove!

It is true for us! <3

Thisis really cool ! Tag the places we visit !

Very good marketing that we all can do!

Nice work! I'm not present on facebook, twitter or any of the big social networks, and I dont really intend to join there. I dont like the way they are managed so much. But if someone is already established there, it sure is a opportunity to win people for Steemit.
I have, however, also tried to win people for the idea of Steemit, on some smaller platforms I am involded with. Yet, my only confirmed recruitment so far is @markrhunter , a writer and old friend from Indiana. All other poeple I spoke to, were somewhat sceptical about the whole Steemit concept. I assume, many suspect some kind of catch, when they hear about payments for posts and such things. Well, as the saying goes: you can lead a horse to the water, but it has to drink by itself. So I'll keep leading horses to the water... :)
