Hollywood Star Splash ~ A MonoMad Post

Yesterday, @otage posted Star Splash, a monochrome and colorsplash image of David Mamet's star on a New York street and said "We have stars on the streets of New York, but it ain't Hollywood." In reply, I'm posting a star from the streets of Hollywood, but asking "is the individual still a star?" I say "yes."

I didn't watch the latest documentary about Michael Jackson, but my recollection of the facts at the time made the charges against him seem like a shake down by greedy parents.

We met Michael Jackson once, at the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas, and he was gracious enough to pose for a photo with my wife, even stopping a second time when I realized the camera wasn't set properly.

Is he a star, or is he a molester? We'll never really know since he isn't here any longer to defend himself. But, I do know this. I was at a graduation party last weekend and when the DJ played Billie Jean, I got up to dance...and I wasn't alone.
