It is officially thirty days until the grand event! Our theme is “Opening Doors, One Key at a time." We visited the location and preplanned where everything will go. I am excited to see all the kids running around from face painting to the dance floor, and playing in the bounce house. Speaking of that, I need to somehow be in charge of that because I love bounce houses. The goal to provide 300 backpacks is still the same. the rain finally stopped, but it's south Florida. We are still praying for clear cool weather. Nothing is impossible for our God, so I know if it is his will clear cool skies it will be.

Back to School fundraiser reminder

Recap 1-2-3-4 etc...

1. Providing foster children back to school supplies and backpacks
2. Requesting $20 US dollars raised, which provides two backpacks to two children.
3. The goal is $5,000 and we are well over halfway there.
4. Decided to donate my post earning to the event. Rounded up to $80 $300, thanks to you!

I had to pay out of pocket since the market is so low, but once it is recovered I know it will be well worth it.

Helping with a fundraiser is no easy business. There are so many moving parts just to resolve one task. We have a group of seven leaders, five servants, and a few volunteers just to plan the event. We still need several more volunteers for the actual event, flyers to be handed out, signs to be made, shirts to be ordered, and lots of stuffing of stuff for the adults and kiddos attending.

I thought that planning this event wouldn't be as challenging. I am overwhelmed by the passion and dedication of the leaders to make this vision into a reality again. We can see that they are stressed, but yet they are determined nonetheless. Our normal weekly events will end this week and we will focus our entire attention on the event. Lots to do, and I really appreciate your kind words on these post. Your selfless upvotes.
