Witness server offline for hardware upgrade [back online now]

Sorry for the downtime, but I have to upgrade the RAM on my dedicated server. The blockchain is growing fast and the shared memory needs more space.

I will be getting more RAM shortly and will be back up in a jiffy :) (hopefully tomorrow)

For newcomers on the Steemit platform there are many technical terms and language that can be difficult to understand. One of the many phrases is Witness or the Indonesian translation of Witness. In this post, we will talk a bit about Witnesses who they are, what they do, and how to choose.What is Witness STEEM and what do they do?
In short, witnesses maintain the STEEM economy. They work hard behind the scenes to ensure that when we are psoting, commenting or upvote that all the internal tools are rotating smoothly. How much RAM do you need to run a Witness server? I saw some Polish guy writing about how 32GB is barely enough .. what kind of motherboard takes 64GB+ ... you can see it's been awhile since I built my own machine .. :)

I rent from a host, not set up myself :) It's expensive gear hehe. 32GB RAM is not enough anymore... :/

32GB. I did a trick to extend it's use fr a bit, but next month or shortly after I will have to go for 64GB instead of renewing this server. It's getting pretty expensive, especially if at position 63 not processing many blocks in a day :/

I had 32 GB and my server was usually aorund 30GB used. So i changed to 95 GB and i'm planning to create a seed server. Good luck with your upgrade mate!! And i produced 0 blocks yet..... :-( any help is appreciate!!!!
