Wow I'm seeing y'all out there spreading them gud gud vibes! What can I say.. it's been a great week and I appreciate you all for reminding me how powerful we are as a gifting community. The last post got so much love I was truly taken back, thank you. It's inspiring for us content creators, as well as those we share this opportunity with. Our best example is to be authentic, offer our truth and share our journey.

I feel fellow Steemians already know, I just wanna say to our newbies and the not-yet Steemers.. that NOW is the time! We can be rewarded for creating original content right here in the Steemit blockchain. We are a decentralized community and a living, breathing, best use case for crypto-currency. We create value with our posts, connect with lightning fast transactions and PAY ZERO FEES!
Looks like I'm not the only one bullish about STEEM right now!
Here's my simplest explanation for those still wondering if Steemit is "worth" their time? Let's use last weeks post as an example; so far it's pulled $56.91 in rewards and still has another day to grow before payout. It took about an hour to write and because I'm so fussy, about another hour to chose pictures, edit and publish.
Our investment in STEEM has zero risk and no cost. I was blogging for years while paying for my own domain and hosting. Those of you who don't think you're bloggers already, just ask yourself what all your status updates are about? Are you actually being paid to post on twatter, fakebook or instagame?
Anyway I'm not here to con-vince anyone, I'm simply so happy to be here and appreciate the platform for what it provides. An enjoyable and exciting new revenue stream, a place to connect with like minded people and learn about the benefits of blockchain tech. We are literally witnessing the revolution of social media and the internet as a whole.
Aside from that we're able to enjoy life on our own terms and real-eyes the greatest gift is time freedom. Being full-time parents, sharing and supporting our son's growth and exploring the world together every step of the way. It's also a joy to share where ever we go with our family, friends and community. It's all we could wish for and we will do our best to encourage every one we meet along the way.

Thanks for being on this journey with us and feel welcome to comment if you have any questions or simply feel the same about Steemit. I've been here a while now and promised myself this new year I'll post more consistently and connect with more co-creators. When we get back to Thailand I'm going to reach out to more people and invite them to jump in our ocean.
Life for many honest hard working Thais can still be tough and uncertain. I can see the value of STEEM going a long way towards making a difference. Perhaps as our audience grows here I will be able to use my platform to promote newer users and help fund raise for the charitable projects I care about.

You mean to invest from fiat? Yes bro, if you be life in the project and wanna go long on your gains then it always pays to buy the dips! If you mean trading SBD for STEEM then of course you want to make sure you get the best buy sell prices. If you're simply talking about powering up, I'd say HODL what you got and steem on! There's no lack here, if you really want to power up faster, post more and 100% them! 👍

Getting on here has been a massive revelation for me. I am delighted at how much I've learned in just a few weeks and the potential that I can see for this to change so many peoples lives.

Your post reminded me of the impact a small amount of success on Steemit can have in the developing world. A post that may "only" make $20, might be a weeks wage in another country. That's the power of Steemit! :)

So I have some steem in my wallet and I don't know if I should use that for my SP since people are suggesting to get SP since the steem is not doing anything in my wallet.
I also want to buy some SP from my SBD but I don't know if I should wait since the price is so high right now.

Hi @joalvarez, so I do agree that if you are not intending to sell your STEEM in the immediate future then powering up is the way to go. It's my current under-standing that our rep score is more about the upvotes/downvotes we receive than anything and our SP amount is what influences voting power.
Having some SP voting power to boost others rewards is a great feeling and adds to the good vibes of our gifting community, btw to me this is the "vortex" in joy. Also perhaps in some round about way high SP attracts more attention to your own efforts and thus win/win all around.
However as you may be able tell, I claim no expert on this.. I'm simply along for the ride and in joy being with you all as we grow together. I really enjoyed your recent and lovely post so I am sharing it here. Much love! 😍

Absolutely @jkimura, as a stand alone crypto-currency STEEM outperforms most other higher valued alt coins on a daily basis. However it's the community here that is the real value and we are growing exponentially! 👍
