The sun going down over in Iceland on our first morning. This was taken on the border of Thingvellir National Park as we drove back to our cottage from Reykjavik.
Iceland is a truly spectacular country, every view is amazing.

It is such a magical place. Snow as far as the eye can see, icy glaciers glistening under the carpet of stars. As for the Northern lights.....awesome....there are no words to adequately describe the dancing shapes.

Was very thick snow on Monday, high winds, -7 which gradually became -15 during the week. We especially wanted to come in the snowy season. Just the expected snow and ice.
Didn't see the Northern lights fully until Wednesday.
