Pinhole photography attempts...steemCreated with Sketch.

Koprzywnica. Exposure: 40 min. Pinhole diameter: 0.3 mm. Focal length: 42 mm. Film: Rossmann iso 200. It's the only photo that came out of my last matchbox pinhole camera attempt. I built the camera on the beach in Koprzywnica, during a two-week bike ride with an architectural association I was part of some 5 years ago. I really wanted to take a pinhole photo in the basement of a 12-century monastery that we were sleeping in. I had a pre-pinned metal piece from Outi, black tape, film and some cardboard with me. One photo is all that came out of it, as a heavy downpour destroyed the little camera a few days later. I remember meeting with an older photolab guy in Warsaw later on. He told me: "I shouldn't have tried to scan it in this condition but I understand you."

My first pinhole camera looked like this and was the classic matchbox-based camera:

And here is one of the photos that came out of it:

In the picture you can see my dear friend Duong, who made her first camera with me as well. I thought that the project failed at that time but now I like it a lot. I used a fuji superia with a due date of November 2011 (which was two years before and which proved the expertise of Outi who uses 20-year-too-old films with success). Interestingly, 12 out of 12 frames got developed.
