Kagome Higurashi

Kagome Higurashi (日暮 か ご め Higurashi Kagome?) Is the main female protagonist of the anime and manga series InuYasha. The main character, Inuyasha, is his love interest and this interest is reciprocal.

She is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo who died many centuries ago because of Naraku and therefore, with her birth, there was the reappearance of the Pearl of Shikon that was supposed to have been destroyed when the corpse of the priestess was burned next to the jewel.

Its name means bright pearl or sacred pearl since the name Ka-go-me comes from the Shikon no Tama, because when Kagome's mother took her in her arms she saw a glow in her chest, as much as a star.
