❤️ Turn that frown upside down, RIGHT NOW! With these 3 habits! ❤️

Sometimes when we wake up on the wrong side of the bed, we just want to give the world a stink face. It’s hard to shake a bad mood, but it’s not impossible. The day just started, cheer up, things are about to get better! Here are 3 things I like to do when I’m in a bit of a funk.

Practice Gratitude
Did I wake up? Yes. Is a roof still over my head? Yes. Do I still have my teeth? Yes. The point is to appreciate what you do have. Even, if it’s not much, the fact that we wake up every day is something to be grateful. We have the opportunity to be alive, that is the biggest blessing anyone could ask for.

Say something nice
Give someone you meet today a genuine compliment. This person will feel awesome, and you will also feel great for making their day! This will not only instantly change both of your moods, but then you can also proceed to have a fabulous day!

Hug someone
Nothing is better than a good hug. When I’m in a bad mood, a good squeeze can lift me up. Be sure not to do a side hug as that’s not a REAL hug. There is something warming about being touched by another human that makes you feel connected and loved. So, what are you waiting for, go get your hug!

Bravo to your zestful post!

My main motivational speech carries the title, "Always Push the Up Button." I compare life to an elevator, and say we have a choice every day, whether to push the down button or the up button.

Clearly, Karen, you push the UP button, and that's why great things happen!

Another key: Every day I think of four or five indescribably grand blessings that have come to me, at times when I needed them most. That gets the joyful thoughts going!

So delighted you found the UP BUTTON approach meaningful.

Almost a law of the universe, because when I push the DOWN button to start the day, almost everything goes wrong. The UP button, though, brings almost magical results I couldn't have expected and can hardly fathom!

This is such a nice perspective and idea. Loved it. Since I'm a big believer of positivity, mindfulness and gratitude, I always push the Up button. Lovely post @karensuestudios!

Three very efficient ways indeed. A lot of these moments go together with lots of mind-activity. I like to sit 5-10 minutes just connecting with my breath to lessen that activity. When i come back of a thought that totally got me away, that is a true medidative no-mind moment that can flip the whole feeling. Just sharing :-), Nice post!

ahhh Meditation is a great way! :) I like to close my eyes and focus on walking forward. That's also a great way to meditate. Really focus on my movements.

I didn't want to use the word meditation but now that you use the word i want to say more :-) The point of focusing on 1 particular thing is that it is easier to let go of that 1 thing and then there is void and meditation happens. So you should give it 1 minute more and suddenly stop the walking :-) Hug from India

I admit I am not that good at practicing gratitude but I am getting there, step by step. I need to develop an attitude of gratitude because there are so many things I should be grateful for and I am. I just need people like you to remind me once in a while that I should stop sulking.
