Having a lazy quite Sunday with a little gardening, also the Tea Bag test is not going the Tea bags way.

in #life5 years ago

I think our weather is getting better slowly, we are still having quite a bit of wind probably due to living on the Coast, thankfully the sun has been out all day. I haven't done very much in the garden as have been bagging up rubbish for the skip and getting the gardens ready for the men to come on Thursday to deck my back garden. The closer it gets the more excited i get.

I bought a Lavender plant yesterday, this is to replace a Lavender plant i tried to save earlier on this year. I think the winter killed it off, I thought maybe if i plant it somewhere it can spread it may just come back but unfortunately its dead.

I have a few of these Lavender plants, its the same one as the one i lost, this will sit in the middle of my bee @ Butterfly garden. This is sitting under the Bee & Butterfly houses that i have attached to my fence, once this grows there will be lots of Lavender flowers for the Bee's to work on.

That's the is that part of my garden finished, I am now ready for the flowers.

ON TO A DIFFERENT SUBJECT.

I started a test using tea bags after reading about them on another site, supposedly growing them in tea will give you stronger seeds. I had to try it out.
Here is a link to find out more:

I used a pot that holds 12 seedlings, i used 12 Sunflower Seeds, 6 in each of the tea bags and compost. I have given them to same treatment. I am disappointed to say that the Tea bag test was not in the Tea Bags favour as i got nothing from them where as the compost... well look below.

All 6 in the compost have grown really well whereas the Tea bags have produced nothing at all. I now need a couple of big pots to transfer my Sunflower Seeds to, I may put a couple in my back garden to attract more Bee's. Its now time to go water them all. Bye For Now.

Thank you @son-of-satire

The bees are going to love that lavender for sure, and that tea bag test is very clear now, clearly plain compost works so much better

I wish the Bee's would hurry up :)

I hope for you they are there soon 🐝 👍😎

Me too 😁

The joy of gardening, sometimes things work and sometimes they don't.
I would suggest just using the tea bags as a water reservoir in summer if at all

I think i will just use it as that and a pest deterrent:)

Glad you've had a good Sunday...

I'm enjoying mine. :) It's "Mother's Day" here in the US...

😄😇😄

@creatr

Lovely to hear from you. Hope you had a fab day :)

We did, thanks. Most importantly, I think the wife did... :D

I've been just too crazy busy and distracted. I hope to get back to writing and reading more one of these days. Meanwhile, I'm glad to see you've found some solid supporters. :D

As long as the wife had fun then that is the most important thing :)

I think I'll buy me some lavender, they look so attractive. :-)

There are so many different varieties :)
