Amazing places on the Earth #10
Gas Crater | Turkmenistan
The Darvaza gas crater, known as the Hell Gate, is a 60-meter wide and 20-meter deep hole in Turkmenistan. The fire, fueled with natural gas, has been burning for 38 years, is not a natural phenomenon, but a consequence of an accident that happened after exploring Soviet gas.
Geologists accidentally hit a massive underground natural gas cave, causing the collapse of the earth and the fall of the entire drilling platform. To protect the locals and prevent gas poisoning, geologists have decided that it is best to ignite the gas to burn it. At night, the holes can be seen from miles away.
Geirangerfjord and Nærøyfjord | Norway
If you have time to visit only two fjords in your life, choose Geirangerfjord and Nærøyfjord in southwestern Norway.
These are among the longest and deepest fjords in the world, with large vertical cliffs, deep water and dizzying waterfalls.
The Blue Hole | Belize
The Big Blue Hole is a large submarine chasm along the Belize coast.
This oddity is totally natural. The hole is over 300 meters wide and up to 125 meters deep. This place was made famous by Jacques Cousteau, who declared it one of the top ten best places for scuba diving. In 1971, he brought his ship, Calypso, to the hole, to record his depth.

The beautiful places below are organized into tropical/warm, arctic/cold, and architectural. No matter where you live in the world, there are incredible places to visit and architectural sights to see. To be honest, there are thousands of places that could have made this list but hopefully this list provides some justice to those that were left off.
The purpose of life is to live it, to taste it, to experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience. - Eleanor Roosevelt
