Tron Tutorial: Earning Rewards on Tron Blockchain by Freezing Trx as Enegry or Bandwidth

Tron is integrated to Steem Blockchain meaning that you get an additional TRX when you claim rewards on Steem Blockchain (STEEM, SBD and/or SP).

We can actually earn rewards by freezing Trx - passive income.

Prerequisites

You have started to claim TRX - assuming you have a TRX account that is receiving the rewards: See this post to Claim TRX and Send TRX to Exchange.

It is recommended that you install the Tronlink - Chrome Extension that allows you to manage the Trx account easily.
Install here: TronLink

Freezing your TRX

You can do this via TronGrid:

Alternatively, you can visit the link: https://tronscan.io/#/wallet/ (you would need to login your TRX wallet account with the private key)

Then clicking the "Obtain" button

You can choose to Freeze Trx as either Bandwidth or Energy:
Bandwidth is required when you claim Rewards.
Energy is required when you send USDT or perform other smart contract operations

Trx, once frozon, can't be unfrozen for at least 72 hours.

Then, with the Frozon Trx (Similar to Steem Power), you can choose to vote for the Super Representatives (similar to Witness, Block Producer) on Tron Blockchain.

I would suggest picking those SR who share higher ratio of rewards:

You can allocate your votes among the SRs of your choice, then click the "Vote" to confirm your votes.

The votes will be updated accordingly.

Claim Rewards
