A SHADE IN THE GLADE (An Original Poetry)

Crowned monster of dusk,
dawn dawned on us,
before the sunset died,
memories of the tall grasses,
afloat our mind like canoes,
lurking, is our greatest fear
the beast incarnate,
staring us in the mirror
a shade of wraith,
crawling in the glade
We awake to things that tortures,
nurturing fright like a flower,
brewing beastly thoughts within
ours is to wail within,
allowing the mask,
to marry our faces
as we become one with terror
the horror, a dink to the marrow
We will wait willingly,
for the shade in the glade,
caressing grasses as our feet passes
our lives, a game of dice,
for the tenebrosity in the field,
but that which we term a fairy tale,
is a reality living in our hair
building kingdoms and reigning
till the shark is ready to dance
There's a shadow in the glade,
the grass, the marshmallow's blade
a beautiful facade, a glorious terror
we're like sojourner, seeking and seeking
for the things that reek
when the chandeliers are turned off,
foul things with mandibles
clawing and galloping
with an agenda to pounce soon
